  • Relief for Small Businesses Arrives:  As part of the “Phase One” package of aid signed into law on March 6, 2020, the Small Business Administration (SBA)will provide an estimated $7 billion in low-interest disaster loans to small businesses and non-profit organizations that have been impacted by financial losses due to the coronavirus outbreak.  Learn more about this program and how to access these loans for yourself or your clients in need in this policy brief.
  • Employers Required to Provide Paid Sick Leave to Employees:  “Phase Two” of the Federal stimulus, enacted on March 18, 2020, includes a requirement on employers to provide paid sick leave and partially paid family and medical leave to employees.
