How We Advocate

Advocacy is at the core of AALU and a politically involved membership is key to the success of AALU's mission. Our political programs are designed to assist members to learn more about the world of politics and to get personally involved in the political process.

Predicated on the concept that you can't delegate personal responsibility, AALU's unique advocacy programs leverage the knowledge and expertise of our members to help educate government decision makers about the impact of their actions on clients who rely on life insurance.

The AALU Ambassadors

AALU Ambassadors are elite political leaders in the industry, dedicated to building relationships and engaging policymakers to preserve, promote, and protect the 75 million American families who depend on life insurance and annuity products. Ambassadors meet with lawmakers throughout the year to educate them on the industry and potential impacts of proposed legislation and legislation.
