Description:
The Best Practices Committee was created in 2005, implementing a recommendation from the 2004 AALU Strategic Plan. The purpose of the committee is to focus and recommend policy to the AALU Board on special issues involving practices which could potentially pose a tax threat to advanced life insurance planning which fall outside of the purview of other AALU issues committees. To date, this committee has focused on and helped the Board set policy and standards relating to so-called investor- originated life insurance or stranger-originated life insurance.
